Welcome to our gorgeous lake view suite in sunny Kaleden! We are a 10 minute drive to Penticton by car and a 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to the beach!
Enjoy all the amenities of home, including a full kitchen, complimentary coffee and tea, and a small self serve breakfast. Wander the area and discover vineyards, orchards, wineries and wildlife all around you!
*Please Note: This is a studio suite. The main bed and the sofa bed are both in the main living space.
Your suite has a private entrance around the side of the house. There is a private patio with a BBQ for your personal use and lounge chairs on the grass which are great for sunbathing while gazing at the lake. Your kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans and more.
Towels and basic amenities such as soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided. If you need something or forgot your toothbrush, don't be shy to ask and we will try to help you the best we can.
There is a flat screen, smart TV in the main room and although we do not have cable, you can sign in, or connect your devices wirelessly to the TV and cast your own content from sites such as Netflix, YouTube & Spotify. An HDMI cable is available if you prefer to connect your laptop to the big screen. In addition to this, we have an assortment of DVDs available in the suite for your viewing pleasure.
The sofa can be pulled out and used as a double bed if needed. It is manufactured by LazyBoy and features their SlumberAir® Mattress System. This system allows a 6” cushion of air to sit overtop of the matresses coil base. It inflates in an instant with a small electric pump and allows the mattress to be customized to your preferred firmness. If you will be using this option, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with extra sheets and bedding.
Your space is smoke free. Smoking is permitted outside on the patio if you wish.
We are a pet friendly home and your furry friends are welcome to join you during your stay. The grassy yard is fully fenced allowing your 4 legged friends to run and play freely during your stay. Please contact us to discuss your pet and the options we have available.
There is ample parking available and you will have a dedicated parking spot for the duration of your visit.
Your suite is located in the cute little town of Kaleden which is a 10 minute drive south of Penticton and a 10 minute walk to the beach. This quaint and quiet area has a lot to offer.
Just 10 minutes down the road on foot, (2 minutes by car), there is a great local beach that is unknown to most tourists and frequented mainly by locals. Here, there is also a park, tennis courts, a basketball court, a boat launch, fire pits, a kids playground and much, much more for you to enjoy.
The famous KVR trail (Kettle Valley Railroad) is easily accessible from this point and is great for bike rides and long walks.
There are 5 local wineries within walking distance from your home. You can find Lakeboat Vineyard & Winery 1.3 kms, Kraze Legz Winery 1.8 kms, Anthony Buchanan Wines 2 kms, Farm Gate Winery 2.4 kms and Black Market Winery 2.4 kms.
Kaleden, is sprinkled with many beautiful orchards and vineyards. It is also home to a vast array of animals, both domestic and wild. If you go for a stroll, you will most likely meet ostriches, horses, wild deer, darting quails and maybe even the pair alpacas who live nearby!
Linden Gardens, a very popular venue for weddings, is also within walking distance from your suite. (1.6 kms) Here, you can wander through the scenic gardens or simply relax on the patio with a coffee and a sweet treat at their onsite café, Frog City.
As for stores, restaurants and other activities, you will find everything you need in Penticton, which is about 10-15 minutes away by car.
On Saturday mornings, there is a bustling local market with vendors selling locally grown fruit, vegetables and homemade crafts. Select wineries and breweries also take part in this market allowing you to sample numerous products all along the same street. If you get hungry, don't worry, food vendors and food trucks are plentiful!
