Relax and enjoy the beauty of Block Island from the comfort of Cedar Haven, a four bedroom sanctuary that sleeps ten on the Island’s stunning west side.
The main house welcomes you with soaring ceilings and gorgeous natural light through the open floor plan that includes a comfortable living room, spacious kitchen, roomy dining area, and half bath. The well-stocked kitchen includes everything you need for your stay, including a coffee maker, microwave, gas range and fridge. Upstairs, you'll find a full bath with both soaking tub and shower, and two bedrooms, with stunning views from the private deck off of the primary bedroom. Open up the french doors in the living area to enjoy the island breeze, but when the days get hot, cool down with central air conditioning.
Enjoy the large, beautiful backyard or soak up the sun from reclining lounge chairs before sitting down for a meal in the breezeway, where you'll find table and chairs, grill, and plenty of space to spread out. When you get back from the beach, don’t forget to enjoy an outdoor shower before you settle in for the evening. Watch the sunset from Adirondack chairs on the expansive west-facing patio, and enjoy dinner at the large outdoor dining table.
In the attached cottage, which sleeps 6, guests have their own full bathroom and downstairs sitting and bar area with TV. One private bedroom on the first floor sleeps two, while the airy living space upstairs sleeps an additional four people. Summary: Wonderful multigenerational stay at Cedar Haven. The listing is accurate and the house is well appointed and stocked. We loved having the separate cottage for my daughter's family but also the main house to gather and enjoy the air-conditioning, which was definitely needed during our week of humidity. Note there are no TV' s in main house, which usually wouldn't be an issue but we did miss be able to keep track of the Olympics. Communication with Sarah was quick and easy. A snafu with linens was quickly fixed.
