Positive: Good location and nice outdoor space.
Negative: However, from the moment we entered reception, there was a very strong chlorine smell from the swimming pool, which was unpleasant and completely put us off using the pool — even though it had been part of our original plan. We booked the hotel for one night with the view of extending for another four nights, as we were staying in Szczyrk for a total of five nights. Luckily, we hadn’t booked more in advance, as we decided to move out after just one night. The twin beds were fixed horizontally against the wall, so it was impossible to put them together. This was important to us as I was there with my husband. We had planned to watch a movie in the evening, but due to the bed layout and the position of the small TV (about the size of a computer screen), we had to watch from a very awkward angle. It was so uncomfortable that we gave up. We also chose this hotel because it was advertised as dog-friendly and we brought our pet with us. Unfortunately, in the morning we discovered that dogs were not allowed at breakfast. This meant my husband and I had to eat separately while the other stayed with the dog. We were not allowed to take our food or drinks outside to sit with the dog either. This would be even more inconvenient for solo travellers with dogs, as they wouldn’t be able to have breakfast at all. Overall, very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for those travelling with dogs.
Summary: Strong chlorine smell in the hotel and not a dog friendly hotel!
