Experience luxury and comfort in this clean and contemporary historic home in beautiful Gainesville, Florida. The antique charm is captivating and well balanced with modern furnishings and comfortable living spaces.
Location is a big perk to our home. When the University opened with 136 students in the fall of 1906, parking was not stressful. Today, parking can be chaos, especially during the football season. You will love being in close proximity (10-15 minute walk depending on your pace) to where the Florida Gators roar, the Ben Hill Griffin stadium. If walking is not for you, a bus stop is a block away. Our ample backyard/outdoor private parking is large enough that even an RV will fit (no hookups).
Enjoy being centric to all that Gainesville has to offer. The Philips Center of Performance Arts, Harn & Museum of Science and Natural History, Hippodrome, UF golf course, parks, local breweries and great restaurants should keep busy. If the outdoors call your name, our neighborhood is perfect for a good-morning jog. Majestic road and mountain biking trails, tree climbing, tubing in springs, and cave diving experiences are also available to keep your adrenaline going.
Our 1950 home is fully renovated to provide an enjoyable space for a party of 7. Sleeping arrangements consists of three bedrooms, 1 queen and 2 full beds. A portable crib and a twin sleeper sofa is perfect for the little lucky ones. Memory foam mattresses with soft, hypoallergenic and comfortable fabrics will enhance your experience. Each room is equipped with soothing white noise natural sound tracks machines to enhance your sleep, relax, focus and block inside/outside undesirable noise. The clean up department consists of 1 private bathroom with a shower in the queen room and 1 bathroom with a cast iron tub and original 50's tile floor for the full bedrooms.
The kitchen is fully stocked with efficient european style designs. Drip and french press coffee machines will sooth your mornings. A portable grill, cooler, indestructible wine glasses and two camping chairs are provided (ideal for tail gating). Indoor W/D and iron board available for your laundry needs.

Summary: We stayed at this location since my husband's band was playing Fest. The location was perfect for our transit to and from the Fest all weekend. It's centrally located to all Gainesville has to offer. The home was ideal for all six of us. I will definitely be back if we Fest as a group adain.
