Spend your holidays skiing Fernie powder while staying in this luxury red brick loft. Our loft is part of the historic 901 Fernie development - a luxury conversion of the old Fernie School House. 901 Fernie has successfully blended the old with modern contemporary style living. The original 1908 brick walls, woodwork and huge windows were incorporated as part of the indoor decor.
The 16 foot ceilings and open concept give guests the feel of the big outdoors that makes Fernie a favourite place for adventurists. Fernie is known for its powder skiing and thriving historic core. Simply put, Fernie has small town hospitality with big outdoor opportunities to satisfy any visitor.
Since we are located in downtown Fernie, it is a one block walk to restaurants, groceries, banks, shopping, nightlife, the Museum, and Arts Centre. This spacious loft has a full modern kitchen which exceeds all expectations for the gourmet cook including granite counter tops, stainless appliances, a modern natural gas range, wine cooler and beverage fridge. The dining table and breakfast bar can comfortably seat 10 people. The in-suite separate laundry room has an extra large front load washer/dryer. Guests have access to a year round hot tub and exercise room, and there is an on-site spa offering massage, facials, manicures and an outdoor mineral pool.
After your hard day at play, relax with a spectacular view of the Canadian Rockies, or settle into the cozy chairs in the open-concept living area next to the fireplace. Your feet will always stay warm with the natural hardwood flooring and radiant in-floor heat. Watch a movie on one of the 3 flat screen TVs. Sleep restfully in hotel quality beds covered with cozy duvets. The two master bedrooms feature large queen beds. The kids room has a bunk bed for the little ones, or use the double pull out couch. Enjoy the convenience of indoor heated underground parking with elevator access up to this second floor unit. Bathrooms have huge walk in rain shower, and the master bath also has a cast iron soaker tub with his and hers vanity.
