This remarkable 1880s cottage named "The Boat's Crew Quarters", displays an impressive heritage combined with contemporary sophistication. In recent years, the residence has been transformed to provide a stylish setting while paying homage to its maritime heritage.
Entering via the beautiful front garden with box hedges and reflecting the beauty of the adjacent Princes Park, there is a glimpse of the magic to come, with soaring ceilings, original timber floors, fireplaces, and convict hewn sandstone. These and many other features meld with modern day fittings and fixtures of the highest standard. With two queen sized bedrooms and modern bathrooms the entry level features light airy rooms, an entrance hallway and stunning modern bathroom.
Downstairs, you will find the spacious kitchen with top of the range appliances and Ilve commercial stovetop and oven, stainless steel benches and original convict hewn sandstone. There is also a large bathroom with glass walk-in shower, toilet, fireplace, sandstone and a European style laundry tucked neatly behind cabinetry.
The living and dining area is breathtaking beautiful with a comfortable space created by comfortable seating and dining areas, a gas fireplace, skylights and floor to ceiling glazing, extending to a sandstone paved terrace with stunning river views. Exposed sandstone combined with timber bridge beams from Tasmania's north-east coast create a unique, inviting ambiance.
