1 Bedroom Cabin in Courtenay
The Heritage cabin is over 100 years old but has been tastefully renovated without losing its charm. We wish to make this a family friendly experience while staying here. There is no extra charge for children. Any extra adults above two will pay a extra fee of $50 per night. A friendly, well behaved dog may accompany you but only if pre approved. The cost per night for a dog is $15. The
bedroom is quite large with a queen size bed and has a walk-in-closet as well as a small porch off of the bedroom. There are two high quality floor mats that are the size of a single bed and very comfortable. There is also a travel crib for a baby to sleep in as well as a high chair. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a dining area as well as a living room. There is a full bathroom with a tub and shower as well as a separate laundry room. There is an area by the river for picnicking, swimming, barbecuing, relaxing in the hammocks as well as playing different outdoor games. There is also a tent if you chose to camp out by the river or you can bring your own tent, Just outside the cabin is a large organic seasonal garden and a small wooded area and open pasture. Toys games and books are provided for children as well as a backyard climber, slide and swing set. We have two children's Kayaks for use in our swimming area of the river.We have sheep and possibly lambs, depending on the time of year. We are located at the foot of Mt. Washington which is a Provincial Park with Skiing, Snowboarding, Tobogganing as well as Alpine meadows and trails for hiking or mountain biking. There are several beautiful beaches within a ten minute drive from the cabin as well as several hiking trails within close proximity. On clear nights the sky is spectacular with amazing star gazing as there are no city lights. You will wake in the morning to the sound of song birds and just peace and quiet. You can drive down to the cabin to unload and then park up by at the top of the property which is 300 feet from the cabin.
