Positive: The location was fantastic with just short drives to reach Ladybower Reservoir, Stanage Edge, Edale as well as a direct route on foot from behind the cottage to Mam Tor. A stones throw from Castleton and Hope with Hathersage just a little further. On arrival, key collection was easy and the cottage has great facilities: comfy beds with plenty of bedding to feel warm, ample towels, relaxed sitting room with real fire and the kitchen has both oven and microwave and fridge and enough kitchenware for anyone who enjoys cooking at the end of the day like I do :) The property has a backdoor leading into a small courtyard garden overlooking Mam Tor - a lovely place to have a morning cuppa! Maeve was friendly and welcoming and offered great advice on walks and where to buy food locally
Negative: There was nothing that I didn't enjoy about staying here. If I had one recommendation, it would be that the addition of a small bin in the kitchen for recycling would be great, though I did subsequently find the big recycling bin not far away
