Summary: Cowboy Lodge is a true log cabin perched above the Little Colorado River & overlooking the Old Greer Lodge Ponds/Meadow area. It is 1760 sq. ft., large deck w/ log railings, Trex decking, propane BBQ grill & patio furniture. The cabin has an ADA ramp to the entry door & lowered surfaces to create easier accessibility for wheelchair users & smaller humans. You'll have 2 parking spaces out front. Close to National Forest for ATV Riding/Hiking. Easy access to fishing areas. Dog-friendly (Max 2 @ $25 each) The Space: The cabin is a single story with wheelchair access throughout. High ceilings with recessed lighting and ceiling fans create a wonderful airy feeling. The cabin is bright and spacious with many thoughtful touches by the new owners. The floors in the common areas are slate tile and all 3 bedrooms are carpeted. We are soon adding new bed coverings and upgrading some of the furniture. We are very excited to offer this lovely home with a special view of Greer to you and your family. The Neighborhood: Our cabin is located in Greer Lodge Estates. It is on the property where the Old Greer Lodge used to stand before a structure fire in 2011 took it away. There are several rental cabins and private homes on the same property. The cabin is set back off of Main Street in Greer on the edge of the Little Colorado River with a beautiful pond and meadow area below. You will have views of the East side and to the South from our newly redesigned deck with log rails. Getting Around: Greer is pretty central to many White Mountain communities. It is a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, biking and UTVs seem to be the preferred travel methods. We have a lovely pedestrian path that meanders trough the town of Greer and there are plans to extend it all the way to our local fishing lakes/reservoirs. Other Things to Note: All Wheel Drive, Tire Chains or 4 Wheel Drive may be needed at certain times in the Winter. WE DO NOT PROVIDE THESE THINGS. Please call ahead, be prepared and know how to use your vehicle and equipment. It is not always snowy in Greer in the Winter but we often have major storms. The roads and parking areas will be plowed but you MUST be patient or you may get stuck. If you DO get stuck, a fee will be charged to retrieve your vehicle from a local service company.
