Welcome to Macarty House. Conveniently located just minutes from the French Quarter, this historic home built in the 1860's has tons of charm and quirky additions to its historic beginnings. The home accommodates up to 16 guest maximum for overnight stays. Main house has six (6) room each with ensuite bath. There are two (2) additional rooms each with ensuite bath located in pool cottage. All eight 8 rooms are included in the rental. ABOUT THE MACARTY HOUSE GROUNDS The property's spacious grounds boasts a cabana bar complete with ice machine, a beautifully maintained mineral water pool with lounge area and lush garden space surrounding 1,000 sq ft the deck. ABOUT THE MAIN HOUSE Property owners live on site, in a small owners unit on the back side of the main house. Our private residence is unavailable for use or access during your stay. GUEST INTERACTION We are delighted to be your hosts during your stay at our lovely home. We are available for as much or as little interaction as you are looking for, always respectful of your space during your stay. We humbly request that you provide the same. You will see us cleaning, doing yard work or moving in and out of the common areas but we never enter your rooms or try to join your time at the pool or cabana bar unless expressly invited. GUEST ACCESS Guest have full access to the property during their stay with the exception of Owners Unit. The front half of the main home's first floor is a common area with coffee & tea station, microwave, dining tables and seating parlor. LIMITED KITCHEN ACCESS: there's limited kitchen access as use of the stove and/or oven is prohibited. Guests kitchen access includes: full sized designated guest refrigerator a limited inventory of guests designated utensil and dishes a convection oven limited storage space for your dry good grocery needs. Cancellation Policy for Whole Home Rental: 30 days for 100% refund; 15 days for 50 % refund. ------------------------ For your safety and security, please close all gates and doors firmly behind you as move thru the property during your stay. ------------------------ IMPORTANT: New Orleans Noise Ordinance: 10 pm—7 am is strictly enforced and is a necessary compliance. No Amplified music and/ or loud noise during hours specified above. This includes and is not limited to: loud conversations anywhere on the grounds, music, loud television at Cabana bar, etc. all noise must cease at 10 pm. We reserve the right to insist all or some of your party vacate if you repeatedly break the ordinance, the neighbors complain repeatedly, or if the police are called. If you're looking to get down after hours, please refer to our guidebook as there are several bars and restaurants nearby. --------------------------- OTHER ITEMS of NOTE: Interested in hosting an event on property? We have hosted many events on site including wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and day-after brunches. -Rental of accommodations is required (3 night minimum). -All events/parties involving people not staying on property require approval. -Max occupancy is 150 guests. -We are an outdoor event space only. -No events are held on check out day. -Event costs are in addition to cost of accommodations.
