Close by lies a country park and an animal sanctuary, whilst nearby Flamborough Heritage Coastline is well worth a visit with its high chalk cliffs, packed with nesting sea birds including the comical puffins with their colourful beaks. RSPB Bempton Cliffs should also feature on your holiday itinerary.
The unspoilt rolling hills of The Yorkshire Wolds and The Cleveland Way coastal path offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities. You can also explore the coast by car, stopping off to spend a day at Bridlington or head further up the coast to Whitby. The ancient city of York is under an hour away.
