Welcome to Fenton Cottage, my charming 1919 cottage nestled in a quiet neighbourhood on the fringe of Hobart. The cottage is situated across the road from leafy Fitzroy Gardens and conveniently close to the CBD, the Sandy Bay shopping precinct and South Hobart where you can walk the rivulet track into the city. A short 20-minute drive will take you to the majestic Mount Wellington/ Kunanyi. Sleeping up to 5 guests, Fenton Cottage is perfect for your next getaway to the island state.
The Space:
Fenton Cottage is an immaculate home in the leafy suburb of Dynnyrne (pronounced de - nern!) on the fringe of Hobart, Sandy Bay and South Hobart. The house is across the road from gorgeous Fitzroy Gardens and behind us you will find Parliament Street Park with a basketball ring, full size oval, play equipment and BBQ facilities.
The cottage is fully set up for short stays with space for up to 5 guests and features a light-filled open plan living area to relax in. You will find plenty of board games and books to keep your group entertained during your stay.
The main bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and features an ensuite. There are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other is a single bedroom.
The fully equipped kitchen is complete with modern appliances, ample counter space and all the necessary utensils to create meals during your time at the cottage. You will find supplies in the Sandy Bay shopping precinct, which is a short 5 minute walk. Alternatively, walk to the Hill Street Grocer in South Hobart in around 10 minutes. South Hobart is home to Bear with me and Ginger Brown cafes, which are both popular with locals and we can strongly recommend coffee or meals from both.
Fenton Cottage features a private courtyard and patio area perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or outdoor dining. The property is fully fenced the courtyard is also perfect for children to play in or for you to simply relax and unwind.
