Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The cottage was comfortable and well located just off the green in Crakehall (through a stone archway). Lovely walks in the area and other attractions close by. Bedale only 5 mins away is a lovely market town with a very good co-op,spa and mini Morrisons as well as pubs and restaurants ('a taste of India' was excellent).

Negative: Parking was a little tricky occasionally. The two spaces by the cottage are reserved for other homes and it gets quite busy around the green (our visit was in November, so not even peak season). We had a problem with the heating/ boiler faulting out while we were there but a maintenance chap came and was very helpful. Issues happen, but if they are dealt with efficiently it isn't a problem
