Guest Access:
The home is connected to a smart system and the front door is accessed with a code and smart lock. The code and all relevant details for your arrival will be sent through the booking platform the morning of check-in. Although there is no assigned parking space, there is plenty of free street parking throughout the neighborhood.
The Neighborhood:
San Diego's Mission Hills neighborhood overlooks both Old Town and the San Diego Bay, and is centrally located and close to all the best parts of San Diego. One of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods, the area is primarily residential with some small shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is one of the most architecturally impressive neighborhoods with many of the houses from the early 1900s, which have been carefully preserved and restored.
Getting Around:
The house is very centrally located in San Diego walking distance to Old Town and Mission Hills business district. It's a short drive to the locations below.
Downtown - 4 minutes
Balboa Park - 6 minutes
San Diego Zoo - 7 minutes
Hillcrest - 8 minutes
Airport - 12 minutes
Beaches - 12 minutes
Bikes are also encouraged to get around as there are plenty of protected lanes to ride bikes to the beach or surrounding neighborhoods.
Other Things to Note:
Please contact host before booking stays longer than 30 days, and review all house rules listed below prior to booking. Be aware there is another unit at this property and there is a potential for noise from the other renters. Each unit has a separate, private entrance and there are no shared spaces between the two units. The use and heating of the hot tub is always free/included in the price of your stay. If you’d like to have the pool heated, please notify the host and be aware there is a $100 fee per day to have the pool heated.
While my first priority is ensuring my valued guests enjoy their stay, I have an equally important commitment to the safety and comfort of my neighbors and community. Please read the following list of property rules prior to confirming your reservation. If you’re uncomfortable with these rules, I encourage you to please make alternate accommodations:
GUEST
• For security purposes, guests who wish to make a reservation must have a completed profile on Airbnb, including a clear photograph of your face (so we know the person booking is in fact the person checking in).
• You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property.
• Check-in is 4PM or later. Check-in instructions will be sent via email the morning of your stay
• No illegal activity or illicit substances are permitted on the premises: Doing either will result in eviction from the property, and may also result in law enforcement involvement.
PETS
• We allow a maximum of two pets and charge a $100 fee per pet, per stay.
• Unfortunately, we do not allow cats at the property.
• No animals are allowed on the beds or any of the furniture.
• If you leave the property, your pet either joins you or stays in their crate.
• If there are any pet-related damages, you will be required to cover any repair or replacement costs.
• Please keep any barking or crying that will disturb neighbors to a minimum.
• Please do your best to clean up after your pet (hair, waste outside…) before check-out.
• We recommend bringing their own bed and food/water bowls.
DAMAGE
• We understand accidents happen. In the event of damage occurring at the property, we require that all guests report any and all damage during their stay, prior to check-out.
SMOKING
• Our property is 100% smoke free; including both private and communal areas, the unit itself and any other public areas within the building and the communal property regardless of whether inside or out. You must be totally off of the premises and on public property to smoke. If you're a regular smoker and feel you'll have a hard time following this rule we kindly suggest you look into another property. Evidence of smoking will result in a complete forfeiture of your security deposit.
EVENTS & GATHERINGS
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for noise complaints, parties or gatherings of any sort. Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. QUIET HOURS are daily from 10PM-8AM.
SECURITY
• This property may implement video surveillance in outdoor public areas to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Additionally, this property may also use Noise Aware technology to ensure the comfort and security of our guests.
VISITORS
• We ask that all guests let us know in advance if they plan on having any visitors during their stay. You may not have additional guests unless previously authorized by the host.
FILMING & PHOTO SHOOTS
• If you or your company are interested in utilizing the space for film, television, music video or photo/film shoots of any kind, please contact us via the message portion of the site to discuss details, approvals, pricing, etc.
PLEASE NOTE
• Guest agrees to hold the Host harmless against any and all loss, claims, causes of action, demands and/or costs and expenses that may be incurred by the guests in relation to the unit rental. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Subletting the property is strictly prohibited.
