Positive: Absolutely lovely stay and recommend 100%. The ryokan is big, modern and chic. The service was excellent (the receptionist even handled a pair of jeans I wanted to throw away). The onsen is honestly better than the legacy ones you find around Dogo. The room was big and spacious with a massage chair. They give you yukata and towels to use around Dogo and the other onsen. We didn't try the breakfast or dinner, but they had a time-limited tea ceremony with an expert. If they offer something similar, please try it! It was only ¥1,500 per person extra and absolutely worth it! It was so lovely, the obaasan was knowledgeable, funny and impeccable. She let us try everything and took pictures for us and we were just a small group of four. Even if you don't speak Japanese, still give it a go if they offer it. If the hotel is reading this, please thank the tea expert again for an amazing experience.

Negative: Nothing. Of course a bit pricey, but still affordable and worth the splurging.
