This two-bedroom condo was purchased and furnished (all furniture brand new) in 2021 and is a great home base for your Durango stay.
This condo has 1 bedroom with an additional open loft bedroom and 2 bathrooms Our house is a clean, charming, personal, and welcoming home that makes its visitors feel like they are guests in a very special place. You will have the time of your life on this vacation in Durango!
It is located just minutes from Mesa Verde National Park, Durango airport, and the town of Durango with the great restaurants, galleries, theaters, shopping, Durango Hot Springs, and Purgatory ski resort (45 min drive). Enjoy the wonderful walks and bike paths without getting in the car.
Our condo has 1 master bedroom downstairs with a queen-sized bed with a private bathroom, upstairs there is a queen-sized bed with two inflatable mattresses for extra people. Both bathrooms have showers and tubs. The living room has a sitting area with a TV and wifi. The dining area and kitchen are adjacent to the living room. There is also a laundry room on the ground floor.
Durango is a special place where winter and summer are welcomed with equal joy. The area offers terrific skiing in the winter and numerous outdoor activities in the summer.
Please note that this unit has no central air conditioning/heating. There are baseboard heaters and ceiling fans. Pets are not allowed in the unit due to complex rules.
The condo complex is built on stilts, and there are quite a few steps (approximately 40) that must be climbed to enter the unit. The HOA does shovel and treats for snow but please consider packing smaller bags instead of large suitcases and consider another home if you or members of your party have difficulty climbing stairs. We require guests to complete an arrival form sharing all guest names and the primary renter's ID to provide access. Vrbo does not provide any guest details to us and we need to know who is in our home.

HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING
There is no central air conditioning or heating. This is very common in Durango. The unit is equipped with electric baseboard controlled via wall thermostat. Ceiling fans are available in the dining room and bedrooms. A window AC is installed in the summer (typically in June; check with us if your stay is around this time and you would like to confirm availability).

Early check-in?
- We cannot guarantee an early check-in. We use the precious little time we have to prepare the home following the CDC Cleaning Guidelines, as well as to perform any maintenance tasks. We want it to be perfect for you! Assume check-in will be at 4 pm. You can message us on the day of your arrival and we can let you know when the home is ready for you. If your flight arrives very early in the day, consider booking the night before so you can check-in as soon as you are ready.
Late Check-out?
- Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate a late check-out request. Just as we did for your arrival, we must prepare again for the next guest. If your flight leaves late in the day, consider booking an additional night so you can leave at your leisure.
Do you allow luggage drop-off for early arrivals or late departures?
- No, unfortunately, we are unable to offer luggage drop-off at this time.
Is the door code changed after every guest?
- Yes, you will receive a unique door code after completing our mandatory arrival form.

- YES, our home is located up 40 stairs with no elevator access. These stairs must be climbed each time you enter and exit the condo and may be slippery in the snow.

- There are multiple coffee, sandwich, and wine shops down the hill (about an 8-minute walk and a very steep walk back up; a car is recommended).
Is there a grocery store nearby?
-There is a natural foods store less than a 5-minute drive down the hill and multiple chain grocery stores close to Downtown (less than 10-minute drive)
