Warm up in the hot tub after a long day of skiing/boarding during your stay in this cute family and dog friendly cottage, located in the town of Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc ski hill is visible from the house (about a 3 minute drive), and Mont Tremblant North ski resort is a 17 minute drive away.
A few minutes' walk (or 1 minute drive) through the town of Mont Blanc (formerly St-Faustin-Lac-Carre) takes you to Lac Carre. The small and quiet lake has a public sandy beach and lifeguards. The town has a beautiful park with playground and a sandy volleyball court in summer, and ice rink in winter.
The Petit Train Du Nord paved 234km track has a station at the park. This trail is great for biking, running and walking in summer and cross country skiing in winter. Local attractions include Sentier des Cimes which offers a great view across the Laurentian mountains and can be accessed by a quick drive or a walk/ride along the Petit Train du Nord. UQAM hikes and waterfalls are also nearby. Tremblant village (formerly St. Jovite) is a 15-minute drive away.
The cottage offers pleasant decor and plenty of space for a large family or two families. Sleeps 10, 8 in 3 upstairs bedrooms, and additional 2 in basement room with futon. Bedroom one with king bed. Bedroom 2 with queen bed. Bedroom 3 with pair of bunks to sleep 4. The Basement room (bedroom 4) is finished, and is warm and dry and set up with brand new comfortable Queen size futon and TV to function as additional lounging or sleeping space.
Open plan kitchen, dining and living room. Additional dedicated office space with a desk, chair and sofabed.
Well stocked kitchen, with fridge, dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave. One large main floor bathroom with bathtub and shower. Includes washer and dryer. Upstairs half bath with toilet and sink.
Basement is split into an unfinished area with a wood burner for optional heating (whole house has baseboard heaters in every room) as well as a lower finished additional living and sleeping space. The unfinished area is set up for easy ski and snowboard storage and maintenance, and a clothes rod for hanging ski gear and drying gloves and boots, etc.
The backyard overlooks a garden property and forest. The backyard is fenced and has a fireplace area and a play structure. Large outdoor screen room with couches and dining. Large Hot Tub, easily accommodates 6-8.
Please note: Dogs are very welcome (any size). Backyard fencing is suitable for large dogs, but not for escape artists. Please no cats, rodents or birds as owner is highly allergic.
The town of Mont Blanc is very quiet and residential with a well-stocked supermarket and great pizza place (one minute walk away from the cottage). Three cafes are also located in the town.
