Comrie has a country feel and has been newly renovated, a combination of older style and modern furnishing, creating a comfortable blend of old and new, form and function. The massive wood heater, sun-drenched balcony and proximity to Bundanoon town centre make Comrie a relaxing Southern Highlands getaway.

Where will I be?
Bowral, Berrima and other notable Highlands villages are all within a 20-minute radius of this lively, character-filled village that is Bundanoon, with its very own town hall market every first and third Sunday of the month.
Why choose Comrie?
This is the ideal accommodation for many of the local cycle races, car rallies and collectors' gatherings, not to mention Brigadoon and Highland Flings, when Bundanoon, the seat of expatriate Scots, becomes the crowning glory of the Highlands.
How is the property laid out?
Comrie is a two-storey home. The ground floor has a large kitchen, equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a cosy breakfast nook. The kitchen opens to the dining room, with a 10 seater and table and fireplace, that has access to the covered patio and opens to the living area. Downstairs you will also find a shared bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a laundry.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. The master has a queen bed, a second bedroom has a king bed, single bed and a trundle bed, and the third bedroom has a king bed and a single bed. All bedrooms open onto the north facing balcony. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, separate shower and a toilet.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
North facing covered outdoor patio area with large outdoor dining table, BBQ and a hammock to relax in whilst watching the sun track from east to west. Large fenced upper-level garden providing a space for kids to enjoy the outdoors.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
With a massive wood heater the downstairs living areas are lovely and toasty in winter. The flues rising up through the second-floor bedrooms, create further warmth upstairs. There are also separate heaters and ceiling fans in the bedrooms for your year around comfort. There are two split system air conditioners in the downstairs living areas, and electric blankets are on the beds.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Comrie supplies all bed linen, sheets and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway, entered through the bottom (second) gate. Additional cars can park on Penrose Road and can enter the top-level garden via the top (first) gate in Grey Gums Lane. There is solar lighting and a sensor light but this is best done in daylight.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Comrie is pet friendly, subject to the following rules:
- dogs to sleep in the outside at night
- bring your own dog bedding please
- please clean up after your dog
- any damages or excess cleaning will result in extra charges
What are the minimum stay rules?
Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
Easter: 4 nights
Long Weekends: 3 nights
All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Summary: There has been a concerted attempt to make this property comfortable. Clean sheets, fresh towels, acceptable cleanliness, heaters or air conditioners in every room and reasonable kitchen. Liked the coffee machine. The oven and stovetop worked fine. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery. Comfy couches. Nice big table in the living room. Enjoyed the fireplace Unfortunately, we were not comfortable. To be fair, it was a very cold week and the owner had provided heaters in every room. However, the house was still freezing because there was a complete and total lack of insulation - daylight was visible through cracks in the ceiling. It wasn't just a lack of insulation, the roof was not sealed leading to some microbats coming to sleep in the rafters of one of the bedrooms. Nice to have a zoo. Not so nice to have my children sleeping in guano. Other problems that could be fixed. - Some of the beds were very uncomfortable. - Some of the utensils in the kitchen were covered in rust (cheese grater, oven trays, saucepans) - The microwave buttons wording had worn off and it was a challenge to work out how to use it.
