Summary: Let me begin by highlighting the positives of this charming hotel. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff at check-in was pleasant and allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. They offer free kayaks and bicycles for guests. The pool was nice, quiet, and clean. However, I had to take two stars for cleanliness, and it pains me to say this because this hotel had the potential to be amazing. I found several strings of hair under the covers of our bed. I tend to inspect hotel beds before jumping in, and I was both disappointed and disgusted. Not only that, but the shower drain also had hair and was slow to drain water, creating a puddle. The last thing I would like to point out is that they have L'Occitane bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and gel, but what is inside is not L'Occitane because it smells horrible. I didn't bring any of these issues to management because we were only staying for one night.
