The community of Varsity is located in the northwest sector of Calgary, south of Crowchild Trail and East of Sarcee Trail. This location places Varsity in close proximity to a wide variety of resources. The community is home to established public and separate schools, including one offering French immersion. At the post-secondary level, Varsity is adjacent to the University of Calgary and is the site of a university research station. The community is close to numerous shopping outlets, including Market Mall and Northland Village, as well as civic attractions such as McMahon Stadium and Burns Stadium. Varsity also offers an abundance open space, with easily accessible bike paths leading to Nose Hill in the north and the Bow River Valley in the South.
Best way to get around Calgary & area is by car/taxi/Uber. The house is located just 7 minutes walk to the Dalhousie Red Line LRT/C-train station that can take you from Northwest down to the very south of Calgary across downtown. There is also bus terminals a few steps away and also in the Dalhousie station.
☀ For security purposes, we have exterior cameras on both the front and back of the house that record video and audio to the cloud 24/7.
☀ This is our home, not a hotel. Please treat our place with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to sort them out ASAP.
☀ The nature of a basement suite means potential noise of everyday life from our home upstairs (oven hood fan, occasional visit from grandson and dog), but we do our best to limit this.
☀ Please note that although the kitchen’s portable stove and oven are sufficient for cooking meals, they are smaller than a full-size stove and oven. The suite does not have a dishwasher.
☀ We are licensed operators for short-term rentals in Calgary. Our license number is BL256708.
House Rules
Please carefully review the house rules listed below and please understand that we take our short-term rental business and these rules very seriously. We do this to ensure the next guest will receive the unit in the same immaculate condition as you did. Any violation of the house rules could be grounds for immediate termination and removal from the property without a refund. By booking, you agreed to take responsibility for any other losses that we may incur due to any non following of the house rules that leads to us having to refund or discount the next guest.

NO SMOKING. NO PETS. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. NO SHOES inside the house.
Additional Rules
- Quiet hours are in effect from 10 PM and 7 AM Monday to Saturday. 10 pm to 9 am Sunday and Holidays.
- Please remove all footwear at the door of the house. No shoes inside of the property.
- This is a NON-PARTY home. Excess noise is not permitted in this property. If we find a party happening at the property the booking will be immediately canceled and NO REFUND shall be given.
- Guest's account must have a verified direct phone number on their profile which will be checked prior to reservation. If the host cannot directly contact the guest on their phone number listed on their profile, the host reserves the right to cancel the reservation prior to its beginning. Local area guests must communicate with us prior to booking stating the nature of the visit.
- No smoking of any kind (cigarette, marijuana, or vaping) - a $250 fee will be charged if the property smells of smoke, or any evidence is found that smoking occurred inside the property.
- The maximum occupancy on this property is 8 people. Any additional guests that arrive without permission will be vacated off the property for trespassing. All guests must be declared on the reservation. Any unregistered guests will be charged a $40 additional guest fee per person. Visitors must be cleared with us before inviting them over.
- Alert us immediately if anything breaks. We may not be able to fix it for the next guest if you don’t tell us right away.
- Please treat our property with respect - use coasters on the furniture where they are provided and keep the place tidy. Additional cleaning fees may be applied if the house is left messy and unorderly. Please follow check out procedures prior to departure.
- Candles are decorative elements and not for regulate guest use as they pose a significant fire hazard.
- Late check-out fee of $50 will be applied if you have not vacated the property 30 minutes after 11 AM check out unless prior permission is granted from the host. If check out is more than 2 hours late, you will be charged for an additional day and will be charged at our base nightly rate, but this does not award you to stay for the additional day as this could impact other reservations.
