Positive: This apartment is being run as a genuine B&B. The owners are there when you arrive, look after you during your stay, provide a lovely breakfast, and bid farewell to you when you leave. (I am concerned by how many places now are faceless. Send copy of passport; receive instructions and keycode by return email etc etc). The location of the building is right in the fun area of the Old City. In the next street across along the waterway, is a buzzing cafe precinct. The actual street itself is full of old world charm. The owners were full of information about the area, and helped us to settle in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. And everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance - especially the train station. We don't want to detract from the charm of this place, but it is worth noting that the building has narrowish stairs between each level. There are two rooms per level and the charming and well-stocked breakfast room is on another level. We had carry-on and check-in size luggage. The stairs were a bit tricky, but doing the large bags one at a time was fine. And the owners immediately gave assistance with the bags. We had been allocated a top floor room with good views presumably, but once they saw our luggage, they offered us a lower room at our choice - which we accepted. If you just have backpacks or carry-on luggage, you won't have a problem. And a bit of advice for arrival. They will send you instructions on how to find the front door. We got them and didn't read in full. The street is amazing. The footpath is elevated above the street. If you walk along the footpath, at the address is a shop front. Luckily we were guided to the right place. Go back to street level, walk to the same number, and you have the front door of the building. Amazing design. And as I mentioned, we were told in advance. (Whoops).
Negative: Nothing to mention. You will enjoy it here.
