This 100+ year old bungalow has been a fixture in the center of Andover. It was once a barber shop, a print shop, and various other retail shops over the years. In 2022, it went through a complete ceiling-to-floor remodel to provide comfort and modern conveniences to travelers to our area.
Bedroom: New queen-size bed with BeautyRest mattress, feather duvet, cotton quilt, plush pillows and premium 800-thread count cotton sheets. The closet has space for clothing to hang or place in cube storage. The bedroom has an exterior door with deadbolt to the back patio.
Bathroom: Modern fixtures with a full-size shower/tub. The bathroom also includes a washer and dryer. Toiletries and cleaning supplies are provided.
Kitchen: Open kitchen with new high-end appliances including a gas stove, double-door refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and fully stocked with all cookware and dinnerware.
Living Room: Comfortable seating for four including a recliner and loveseat. The room includes a 32" smart TV with cable and Roku as well as a Bluetooth record player/radio/mp3.
Dining Area: The bar-height dining table seats four and is located near the front window for a view of the quaint town center and front yard garden.
Front Yard & Parking: The spacious front porch allows for outdoor dining or even a sunny place to relax or remote-work. The small front yard is an established perennial garden that is a lovely escape in summer. The hand-painted sunflower sign that is lit in the evenings makes the house easily recognizable. Parking is a narrow driveway that can fit two vehicles (bumper-to-bumper) or one vehicle with a trailer.
Backyard: A small patio with a firepit and grill is available during the warmer months.
Pet-Friendly! We love traveling with our pets and we know many travelers do too! Your well-behaved house-broken fur-babies are welcome here. You MUST include them on the reservation and provide us with a description (age, size, breed, temperament) of each pet for approval prior to confirmation of the reservation. Andover has a strict leash law and we do not have a fenced yard. Due to the close proximity of neighbors, all pets must have a friendly temperament, be on leash, and under the owners control at all times outside of the home. Pets must be kenneled in the home while their owner is out. Due to the small size of the home, the limit is two small pets (under 30 lbs.) or only one large pet (over 30 lbs.)
Host Access: We give our guests space but we are available when needed. As we live very close by (a short walk away), we may likely cross paths at the local store or walking down the street. We love meeting our guests from all over the world, and if you would like us to pop by for a chat or to get information, please let us know. As you will be able to check in and have access to the house at your convenience, we may not be able to meet you upon arrival but we will check in with you after you arrive to ensure you have what you need and answer any questions. We welcome calls or messages if you need any assistance during your stay.
Special Notes on the house: The entire home as well as the front yard and backyard (not fenced) are available for guest use. The basement and attic are only for owner use/storage. Please note that that this house is situated in close proximity to the neighboring buildings on either side. Please respect their yards and parking areas. This house is in the center of the village and directly across the street from the general store. During the day, you can expect activity around the store and some traffic through town. Nights are quiet.
