The space
All the charm and character of the downtown neighborhood, homes built in the 1930s and 40s but our home has been renovated in almost every way. We preserved things like wooden floors, French doors and door handles but modernized in ways to maximize the space. Ceilings have been remodeled to reach maximum height, many new windows, basement is finished and a lot of thought and care has gone into room designs.
The detached studio that is outside the main house was once a single car garage. We had a vision of using it as a living space and brought that to life.
We want guests to feel what we feel turning it into the home that it is. A peaceful and inspiring space. You can relax, enjoy life with friends and family, walk to all the places you need to go and a general sense of joy. It is indeed on Joy Street.
