Positive: From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty and tranquility of the place. With its origins dating back to the 13th century, the château has been lovingly restored with modern comforts, making it feel both grand and welcoming. The spacious interiors, well-equipped kitchen, and multiple lounges gave us room to relax while the children played safely. The setting is stunning; panoramic views of rolling hills, vineyards, and pure countryside bliss. It felt wonderfully remote and peaceful, yet we were still close enough to explore local villages and markets when we wanted a little outing. Limoux was right on the doorstep (12 minutes by car) with a local market, boulangeries, patisseries and Supermarchés. A Special Thanks to Quentin, the owner, who was absolutely charming. He made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including fresh pastries on our first morning. His passion for the château and its history really added to the experience, it’s clear he’s poured his heart into the place.
Negative: The only thing we could fault was the weather which was out of our control! It meant that the pool, which wasn't heated, was slightly 'fresh' but still bearable!
