Positive: I liked everything! The property is spacious, quaint and very convenient. The interiors are architecturally interesting and the balcony views are spectacular. It reminded me of when I would stay in a family home in Sicily when I was a child. The location at Porta Catania is fabulous. The apartment is very private, but there is plenty going on around for those who like people watching from the two balconies. There is everything you could want - a well-equipped kitchen, a large living room with a comfy sofa and an extra bed, two great bedrooms, a spacious dining room, laundry facilities, plenty of wardrobe space, and a great courtyard for dining al fresco. The supermarket is just a hop, skip and a jump away, and the main Corso Umberto is less that 20 metres away. There is a taxi rank just metres away too and the cable car is only a 15 minute walk away (mostly flat route). On top of all of these positive things, the owner/host is communicative, friendly, unobtrusive and very accommodating. She also speaks excellent English. I really cannot fault Casa Rando / Mary’s House. It is perfect in every way and I will treasure my memories of staying here.
Negative: There is absolutely NOTHING not to like. The place is a dream.
