Positive: The location is right on the best beach of the island: Praia da Concessão. About a 10-12 minute walk to the center (restaurants...). The staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful, but you need to speak Portuguese to communicate with them. The 2 rooms we had, we relatively large, comfortable and clean though pretty basic. Breakfast was good: fruits, bread, cheese, eggs, fresh juices.
Negative: The location is off the center, so to get around the island you'll need to rent a buggy or rely on taxis. Internet was weak at the rooms, but OK outside. Don't expect high-speed internet on the island
