Summary: We had a wonderful experience for our very first visit to Texas, and we chose Waco as our first town to visit in Texas and Elle's carriage house as the First place we wanted to stay in Texas, Waco in particular. We Chose Elle's carriage house because it provided great value. It was a nice place, very clean, and provided a direct walk down austin ave, straight to downtown Waco to the things we wanted to see and experience. The carriage house was a nice, hybrid, off the grid experience for us. Hybrid Off the grid meaning that the experience of life is definitely more important than TV; and electricity and hot water are much more important than TV . It was a classic place to stay, that's what I liked, priorities in order: Water, Electricity, Hot water, Refrigeration, Oven - and - Life is more important than TV. We loved it! For example: Our first night, we felt safe to walk the street at night and grab a nice bite to eat with some drinks and during the day it was a nice morning hike to downtown Waco and it gave us some exercise and nice experience of Waco - and it was nice to leave our car parked, or even call Uber if needed and there was even a nice little coffee shop / pub close by to hang out with some of the local folks. And we found a nice 50's diner called Kim's. We had a nice breakfast there, and it was within walking distance and the workers were very good people. We were really happy to visit Waco and stay at Elle's carriage house. Elle's carriage house helped make our visit to Waco and Texas a very wonderful experience for us. Elle's carriage house is a great vaule. - Robert and Eileen
