Summary: A wonderful historic building. Just north of the Nevada City central business district. Owners are on site. When I arrived the owner was working outside and was right there to check me in. Something to note is that most of the rooms are up a narrow and curved staircase. Only room #1 is on the ground floor. That's not a problem for me, but take it into consideration if you're mobility impaired. The room was nice, with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Parking is on the street next to the Inn. Spaces are sufficient. Breakfast is minimal. Coffee, instant oatmeal, fruit. On the road that's exactly what I want. I tend to get too many calories and not enough fiber when traveling.
