I have a lovely condo, inside and out with its tropical gardens, and I enjoy sharing it with guests who are good company! You will definitely feel welcome here. My condo complex is nestled in a forest 1.5 miles north of UF. It even has a creek and wooden bridge and is ideal for solo visitors who enjoy company and cats as I do. You get a large, private bedroom w/semifirm king bed in a 1st floor, 1 bedroom/1 bath, 760 sf. attractive condo with wifi. Share common areas including split bathroom plan with the friendly, well-traveled professional owner who tutors online part-time and sleeps on the living room floor (separated off at night) for relief from lower back pain from years of race bike riding. My beloved family member, cat Bobby, lives here too. Please don't book here if you dislike cats and their behaviors. Has modern kitchen, dining area, artsy living room, gardens, pool area, grills, clubhouse, and fitness center with sauna. Parking is free and unassigned anywhere in front of the building. One guest per booking; guest must be 18 years and above. Sorry but no children, no pets, and no smoking allowed. Check-in hours are between 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please contact me before booking if you need to arrive after 9 p.m. to see if I can accommodate you based on my schedule. DESCRIPTION: Welcome to my home which I enjoy sharing with animal-loving, pet-loving guests! I've been a host since 2014 in another Florida location and have over 800 reviews. My beloved cat family member, Bobby, lives here too but he's not allowed into the bedroom. If you're critical of cats and their behaviors or dislike them (or need a private place rather than a shared property), this condo is unsuitable for you. Friendly, playful Bobby may want to smell you and be petted. Like people, he has bathroom needs but his restroom area, in the split bathroom vanity region, is clean and well-maintained. My condo is filled with classic art prints, yet the private guest bedroom with king bed is contemporary and modern with a lovely garden view from the large picture window. The condo doesn't have cable TV, but there's a Samsung TV monitor in the bedroom connected to a DVD player with plenty of DVD movies to watch, and a smart TV is in the living room. Feel free to use the shared spaces of the living room, well-appointed kitchen, and dining area. The condo is nestled in the forest with views of magnolias, ferns, bamboo, colorful flowers, and other tropical vegetation. Ring Park is a forest directly across the street from the condo community for nature trail walks along the creek. This condo will not be suitable for you if you prefer very cold air conditioning in the 60s or low 70s since I prefer temperatures in the mid to upper 70s in summertime. My central AC setting creates humidity-free comfort, and there's a portable 3-speed fan for your use in the bedroom for cooling air circulation.
LOCATION: This condo complex is 1.5 miles north of the University of Florida and downtown Gainesville and 0.4 miles west of 13th St. N. which is home to many shops, stores, supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, and most places you will need when you're here. You can walk to them from here in under 10 minutes. A direct bus line going to downtown, the university, Shands Hospital, and the VA Hospital is located right outside of the complex on the main road, NW 23 Blvd. (also named NW 23rd Rd.). The bus stops are a 5 minute walk from here. Parking in the condo complex is free and unassigned with many spaces located right outside my condo unit entrance. The condo is across from the pool, 24-hour fitness center, clubhouse with free wifi for work/study, and car wash station. Right across the main road from the complex is Ring Park, a shady, wooded nature preserve with a hiking trail that follows the same creek which also runs through the condo complex and through much of Gainesville.
