You will love the private location of our family cottage in Highlands East! Our neighbours are family, and we are surrounded by Crown land. Enjoy stunning views from the wrap-around deck, cook lavish meals in our fully equipped kitchen, use a fire pit for marshmallow roasts. We have 2 kayaks and a canoe to play on the lake. We are fully equipped for children, and welcome families from all backgrounds to enjoy our peaceful escape from the city. *note our dock cannot accommodate power boats
The space
Camp Glamor was designed to provide beautiful views of the lake and forest. Soaring ceilings and high windows ensure a comfortable temperature even on the hottest days, without air conditioning.
Play pool, or darts in the basement rec room. Swim off the dock, or paddle around the lake in our kayaks and canoe. Have a weenie roast on one of our 2 outdoor fire pits (conditions permitting), hold a horseshoe tournament or just lay out on the deck and work on your tan. ***Please note, for fall bookings, the water levels drop considerably as we are part of the Trent-Severn waterway. There will not be any private swimming or polar dips by September, nor can we allow any outdoor fires in September or October as there is no way to put them out. There is, however, a nearby public beach that has great swimming and easy access. Ask for details***
In inclement weather there are a tonne of boardgames and 2 crokinole boards for hours of fun. We are well equipped to host families with young children. A full kitchen and bbq will make sure you don’t go hungry!
