Cabin getaway with dramatic Whiteface mountain views, less than 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain and just 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Located across street from Ausable River and nearby DEC trail to access west branch of river. Wrap around front porch(half of which is covered) and open field great for outdoor activities including fire pit. 1 bedroom plus a sleeping loft area, 2 bathrooms and walk out lower level. Lower level includes game room( pool table combo), bunk room, bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. First floor includes well furnished kitchen, beautiful stone fireplace and TV area(blue ray suitable for DVD's and Netflix but no cable), dining area with table for 6(along with breakfast counter)/family room with vaulted ceiling, master bedroom and full bathroom. Loft area includes bedroom with 1 queen and 2 twin beds. Large windows throughout offering dramatic mountain views. Wireless internet offered. Summary: The cabin was perfect for our needs. We stayed there for the Lake Placid Ironman and wanted a peaceful location outside of town. Travel to and from Lake Placid on race day was somewhat challenging for my friends/family staying with us but not insurmountable. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I loved sitting out on the porch drinking coffee every morning. The gorgeous 20 minute drive to town was worth it in exchange for the serenity of the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!
