Come enjoy the privacy and seclusion only a Log Cabin in the White Mountains can afford. Our home is situated on 50+ acres with no visible neighbors, yet we are only 15 minutes away from some of the best hiking in the Whites and 20 minutes to the Franconia/Sugar Hill/North Woodstock/Lincoln downtown areas. The home was built in 2005 and has been well cared for and upgraded since that time. Inside you'll find brand new soapstone countertops throughout the kitchen and bathrooms, vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors throughout, incredible sunlight, plus brand new Viking and Bosch appliances. The place is very clean and updated. We have a large master suite upstairs (Qn bed) with an en suite and full-sized futon; a renovated bedroom downstairs (Qn bed); a bedroom (2 twins) downstairs; a loft that sleeps 2 (Qn pullout). Outside, please feel free to hike the property or walk alongs the streams down to the Wild Ammonoosuc for a swim. Alternatively, you may just simply want to relax on the deck or enjoy the fire pit out back. This cabin provides activities for 4 seasons! Meditate, write, hike, ski, re-connect. Regardless, we are confident that you will leave our home thoroughly renewed and ready for whatever life throws your way.

Summary: We two middle-aged ladies enjoyed our stay very much, especially the very private location. Weather was gorgeous, so we sat outside a lot. Some minor repairs are needed. The kitchen door to the basement (which had a heavy mildew smell), was partially off the hinges and the dryer was broken. We didn't find out about the dryer until the night before we left. Owner was kind enough to refund us $100 for the trouble, though. I had to take off one star for check-in. No instructions other than "text me when you get there". Well, there was no cell service, so how can we text?!!! So the drive in was a nervous one, but luckily the door was open. Would have been nice to know so we weren't so worried. The wifi instructions were out of date, so we had to leave the place and drive until we had cell service to ask. Turns out he changed the service without updating instructions, grrr. There also wasn't a washcloth to be found in the place, but we couldn't contact owner about it. Finally, we thought about using the stove at night, but once again, the owner asked that we contact him first and that was the step too far. I've rented for decades. I don't want to have to contact anyone while I'm trying to enjoy my vacation. Instructions should be up-to-date and easily accessible. But he did give me that refund, so there is that.....
