Imagine living in a cosy bamboo cabin, inside a beautiful farm with horses, ducks, hens, cows, guinea pigs, rabbits and overlooking the Aravalli hills as a backdrop.
This fairytale setting is glamping at its best, surrounded by nature, with all comforts and right within Gurugram City.
The Cabin is built of bamboo with a straw thatched roof and an earthen floor. It has a mezzanine floor as well so can accommodate up to 4 adults.
The outdoor bamboo bathroom is private but not attached.
The space
The Bamboo Cabin is an A-frame cottage with a double bed both on the lower floor and on the mezzanine level. There is another Wood Cabin right next to it. The Cottages have a private lawn sit-out area in front.
It is perfect for couples, families, group of friends looking for a getaway to spend some quality time together.
The property is inside the Tuk-Tuk Gilhari animal sanctuary that serves as a favourite destination for families and children to pet, interact with and feed all the resident animals as well as learn about sustainability. This is an actual farm experience and an absolute delight for nature lovers. Please remember that nature and a farm setting means that there will be insects and critters and definitely lots of our namesake - the Gilharis/squirrels. You might sometimes even hear them running on the rooftop. The Cabin has mosquito meshes on the door and mosquito nets for the beds for your comfort additionally.
The Farm is zero-waste and also hosts school tours, birthday parties and private celebrations so if you'd like to organise one for your group along with the cottage stays, let us know.
We generally have day visitors/other events over the weekends, so there could be other visitors at the farm during your stay, which adds on to the fun for a few hours.
Please ask the caretaker for badminton racquets, football or frisbee for playing outdoor games together. Or sit in the cosy library for reading, meditating or playing board games.
The caretaker can provide tea, coffee, hot chocolate, maggi, pakoda on order on ala carte basis.
For meals, there are multiple options:
- A menu is available for ordering meals from a nearby restaurant dhaba.
- You can also order food directly yourself from Swiggy/Zomato.
Please note that only vegetarian food is allowed at the Farm. Non-veg is strictly not allowed, neither cooking nor ordering and eating. Also, we don't reheat food or serve breakfast.
Guest access
Booking the Bamboo Cabin will give you automatic access to the entire Tuk-Tuk Gilhari Farm with all common indoor and outdoor sitting areas, a well-stocked library cum meditation room, playground and swings.
Guests must not visit the animal barns on their own.
Other things to note
100 mbps wifi is available at all the common sitting areas of the farm. Its availability inside the Cabin fluctuates.
Below experiences are available with prior notice of atleast a day and subject to availability:
1. Feeding Tour of all the animals at Farm including horses, donkeys, cows, buffalo, goat, sheep, ducks, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, hens @Rs.200 per person.
Note: You MUST NOT go to the animal barns or pet them if not accompanied and supervised by our Farm Supervisor.
2. Bonfire between 7pm to 9.30pm @ Rs.500.
