Positive: the breakfast was very good and staff in attendance were happy, friendly and helpful. Checkout and payment was easy with staff in attendance. However, when breakfast staff leave the property there is no one around to help.
Negative: Room was very small. We requested a quiet twin room, but were given a room where other guests had to pass our door to access their rooms, so no privacy. The room felt as though it was a enclosed verandah. The decking was weathered and looking very shabby.The room was right opposite the bar so would be quite noisy when the bar is being used. The bar fridge was very noisy and had to be unplugged at night so we could sleep.The room was not shown on booking site, only "proper" rooms were shown. The key lock on the door was not working properly and it was hard to unlock the door. No one in attendance to check us in. Had to phone the owner who opened the gate and told us which room to use. Didnt explain about breakfast or any of the accommodation amenities, we had to search ourselves and advise other guests how to get in and where things were. There needs to be someone on hand when guests are checking in. A phone call to someone with limited English is not satisfactory, even if they answer the phone. We had to leave messages hoping the owner would call back.
