Located between Townsend and Wears Valley, this easy to access property is approximately 5 minutes from Townsend, 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge, and depending on route, 25-30 minutes from Gatlinburg. Offering paved roads all the way up to the driveway, this beautiful wooded retreat is motorcycle friendly and offers comfortable parking for up to 3 vehicles. This private and secluded 1 bedroom 2 bath cabin, that sleeps up to 5, is nestled in the woods and overlooks a picturesque pond on an adjoining property. On the main level, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with a couch and loveseat sleeper sofa, gas fireplace, and a TV. You will also find a king bedroom and a bath. In the upper-level loft, you will find twin bunk beds, an air hockey/ping pong table DVD player with TV, and a bathroom with a stand-up shower. The screened in porch section holds a hot tub perfect for soaking your cares away. Summary: The good- The location is great. Close enough to the tourist attractions of nearby cities but far enough away that you can disconnect from it if you choose to. The cabin layout worked great for our family. The bad or could be better- the roof leaked in the upstairs bathroom when it rained, based on the warped floor it been doing that for a minute. The air hockey table/ping pong table- no ping pong balls and the air hockey fans don’t work so that is an unusable amenity. Which lead to disappointed kids as they were pumped to use it but couldn’t. We looked in nearby stores for ping pong balls without any luck. The fridge leaked water from the freezer onto food in the refrigerator, ruining the food. Towels are very small, I would recommend bringing your own. In short: the location and layout are great. The amenities that the host can control are lacking.
