The Space:
This is Gratitude House! A 1,200 sq ft one-story home, situated near the ocean and many popular attractions on the southwest side of the island, just south of Bridgetown city center. You’ll have a wonderful, stylish place with good energy to enjoy with your group and undoubtedly make grand new memories in beautiful Barbados together!
The main spaces of the home:
- A beautiful open living & dining room area with splashes of color and space to move about. The room has nice, clean beach decor and lovely hardwood floors plus LED SmartTVs connected to cable. Wonderful for downtime moments at home!
-​​ The dining area features a table to seat 6 comfortably for eating meals at home in comfort. Plus a little bar with two bar stools where you can peek into the kitchen and chat with the chef of your group!
- A fantastic and fully-equipped kitchen with high quality appliances like gas oven & stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all you’d need to whip up a home-cooked meal. This surely comes in handy if traveling on a budget!
- A little desk and laptop-friendly workspace for the remote worker plus there's complimentary Wi-Fi.
- 3 colorful and beachy-themed bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom!

The Neighborhood:
In a prime spot south of Bridgetown city center, within walking distance of many great attractions. Here are some ideas of things to see/do nearby where you’re staying:
- THE RICHARD HAYNES BOARDWALK: a 10-min walk (800 m/.5 miles) down the beachfront boardwalk and one of the most beautiful places to stroll on the island.
- ROCKLEY BEACH: Drive down Hastings Main Road or walk a mile (1.6km) south down The Richard Haynes Boardwalk to the beautiful and popular Rockley Beach (also known as Accra Beach).
- GARRISON SAVANNAH: 12-min walk or 3-min drive to Garrison Savannah historic horse racing venue with an oval track and Bajan food for sale. Also found situated around the race track area are museums and historic places like: THE BARBADOS MUSEUM & HISTORIC SOCIETY, MAIN GUARD HOUSE & CLOCK TOWER MUSEUM, THE NATIONAL CANNON COLLECTION and THE GEORGE WASHINGTON HOUSE
- NEEDHAMS POINT & LIGHTHOUSE: an 18-min walk or 5-min drive (1.6km/1 mile) to Needhams Point, the southwestern point of the island where you’ll find the lighthouse and 3 beaches nestled between PEBBLES BEACH (north) and DRILL HALL BEACH to the south.
- MALLALIEU MOTOR COLLECTION MUSEUM: If you’re into antique cars, definitely head to the Mallalieu Motor Collection Museum about a 7-min walk (550 m/.34 miles).
- CARLISLE BAY: The tranquil sea conditions on the west coast make it perfect for water activity and at this dive preserve there you’ll find 4 shipwrecks to snorkel around and plenty of colorful fish and likely a sea turtle or two as well.
- CATAMARAN, DEEP SEA FISHING, COASTAL SIGHTSEEING TOUR: Charters can be booked at a number of tour operators in the immediate area.
- BRIDGETOWN CITY CENTER: North of the home about 3 miles/4.8 km is Bridgetown city center where you’ll find many shops and a wide variety of excellent restaurants with cuisine ranging from local & Caribbean to Italian.
- OISTINS BAY: South about 4.5 miles/7.2 km in the Oistins Bay area, you’ll find more nice beaches like WELCHES, ENTERPRISE and MIAMI BEACHES and the famous OISTINS FISH & STREET MARKET and their Friday Night Fish Fry!
- ST. LAWRENCE GAP: a great experience down a stretch of road ( .8 mile/1.3 km) famous for its fine restaurants, lively nightlife and good shopping.
- SUNSET: Choose a beach along the southwest side of the island and as you walk along you’ll find beach huts and beachfront dining options for a sunset to end your day!
- CAVE & ECO PARK: About a 30-min drive (11.8 miles/19 km) to Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park
- GOLF at Barbados Golf Club - 20-min drive (7.3 miles/11.7)
Getting Around:
The Grantley Adams International Airport (Barbados International Airport) is located 9 miles | 14 km away from the home, or about a 25-minute drive. We highly suggest renting a car to truly enjoy the sights and attractions of this beautiful island. For stays over 14+ nights, we offer a car rental (2016 Hyundai Creta) at a discounted fee. Please inquire at booking.
As for getting to and from the airport, if you do not rent a car, you can easily and affordably use public transportation from the airport to destinations on the island. There is a public bus (cheapest option) for about $2-$3 USD, hire a taxi (~$55-$65), or a private vehicle transport for about ~$70-$85.
Other Things to Note:
Must climb one about 5 steps up to the front door.
In the event you need to quarantine according to the local laws please note this unit is NOT registered as a quarantine accommodation. If you’re able to prove that you’re fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test then there’s no need to quarantine. If not, then you’ll need to make your own arrangements with a quarantine-approved hotel (which is usually a one-night stay) and then come to stay with us when cleared. Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter. However, please make sure to check additional travel restrictions and Covid test requirements when planning your trip.
There is no daily housekeeping service but should you require a cleaning one can be arranged at an additional charge of $75 USD.
For short term stays, electricity is included. For long term stay (30+ days), you will be charged $175 USD for the electricity and $6 USD per day in excess of 30 days.
A propane gas BBQ grill rental is available.
Pets are not allowed at the property.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
We do provide some basic essentials to get you started when you arrive like toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Just please note, these items are not replenished. If you use them up and need more, you’ll need to purchase more.
HOUSE RULES
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind (tobacco or cannabis) is allowed inside the house. Guests may smoke outside on the deck but please dispose of cigarette butts appropriately, not on the ground). The use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of checking in or during your stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Please do not leave the bedroom door open when the AC is turned on.
- Pets are not allowed.
Interaction with Guests:
At check in, someone from our local team will be there to greet you. Please let us know the time of your arrival 24 hours in advance to coordinate the meet up.
Once checked in, you’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but just note, we’re available 7 days a week, should you need anything - just write us a message. A member of our team will answer you promptly!
