There are times in life when people need short term housing such as waiting for their new house to be built, a temporary work assignment in the Springfield area, or long term visits to family or loved ones. This beautiful brick bungalow can be your home away from home! You will immediately feel its warmth and peace and be delighted at its eclectic, boho type decorating style. The home is ideally located only 1.3 miles to MSU, 3 miles to Mercy Hospital, and only 5 miles to Cox South Hospital. Come on up on the covered front porch and sit a while! Enjoy a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine. Put your feet up. Open the inviting, Craftsman style, red front door and enter the lovely living room. The focal point is a gorgeous brick fireplace with an electric stove insert for chilly nights accented by a modern round mirror above. Notice the glowing, refinished original wood floors, the mellow tones of the geometric patterned rug, the interesting, curated look of the mixture of contemporary hairpin legs on the coffee table to the industrial style lamp in the corner! The large couch is super comfy for laying around and watching TV on a Netflix binge. Or relax in the armchair and put your feet up on one of the gorgeous leather poufs from Turkey! And look at those wonderful ceilings!! All are clad in wood, painted white. What a great detail!! Next you will notice the wonderful kitchen! It has all new cabinets, countertops, under the cabinet lighting, and wonderful Stainless Steel appliances with a gas stove (best for cooking) and including a Stainless Steel refridgerator! There is a nice 48" round table and 4 industrial style metal chairs. One wall is a chalkboard wall, waiting for you to leave your special artwork!! At the back of the house is the laundry room. It has been freshly painted (the whole house has been), has new flooring, and includes a Samsung washer and dryer. It is so convenient to have the laundry room on the main floor instead of having to go in the basement!! Now, let's look at the bedrooms. They are cozy, bright, comfortable and fully furnished right down to the sheets and comforter! Each bedroom has a dresser with a large mirror above. One has a tall chest of drawers and the other has a desk in addition to the dressers. You will want to fall into these comfortable beds and relax after a long day at work or at school. Finally, take a look at the fully remodeled bathroom. It has a beautiful tiled shower with a tub, a brand new vanity and a HUGE mirror with a shelf beneath. It is fresh, clean, and plenty big enough. In addition to all these wonderful features, there is a basement with a room that people have used as a game room. Admittedly, it is not very attractive by most standards. But it is nice to just have the overflow space, if needed. The backyard is fenced. There is a detached garage for additional storage. Also, there is a shared driveway with at least 2 designated parking spots. Central heat and air.
