Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was very good, close to Valletta and Sliema. The bus stations were really close, so we get wherever we wanted on the island pretty easily. The apartment looked like it was presented in the photos, it was spacious, well compartimented and plenty of space for clothes storage, eating, cooking and relaxing. The kitchen had everything you needed, also there were AC's in every room and living room.
Negative: Even though we had to pay an EXTRA FEE of 75 euros for CLEANING and 35 euros for bed linen (that were ONLY listed on the HOST'S PROFILE and are not included in the rental price), when we got to the apartment it wasn't freshly cleaned, the floors had clear stains on them, there was hain on the ground and dust in many places, especially around corners. The drawers also weren't clean on the inside and smelled like dust, the sink in one of the bathrooms had dirt inside and also dust was present on the furniture (a lot of it as you could leave marks with your fingers). The bed sheets had lint over them, and there were stains on the oven and in the fridge, and the iron for the clothes was missing. We couldn't pull the water for one of the toilets, but managed to do it only after we got the toilet reservoir's top off and pulled it from the inside, and also the water in the jacuzzi was not clean. The problems weren't solved during the stay because the host kept saying that we were only doing these complaints to get those extra fees refunded (as I was being suspicious about it and asked several questions about them through whatsapp and also i got the details about checking in only after sending them by card!!! the host didn't want to come to collect them personally AS INITIALLY PROPOSED BY THEMSELVES). We sent pictures where the problems stated were clearly visible and a video of the toilet not being able to flush and her response was that THE PHOTOS SHOW NOTHING OF CONCERN and everything was working and it was checked by her personally, abot half an hour before our arrival. Again, we asked for her to come personally to CHECK THE APARTMENT IN OUR PRESENCE to see for herself the facts presented, but the response kept being that we only want a refund and she won't come.
