NOTE: Minimum booking 7 nights. Pool only available May to 30 September. This lovely house with original 17th century features has been modernised without taking away from the character and offers a fully equipped kitchen: microwave, air-fryer, toastie machine, cooker hob/oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc. A large kitchen dining table (seats 8+) plus a separate 17th century dining hall with table/chairs, ambient lighting (seats 12) means you can eat casually or make an indoor night of it!
The "Adult Lounge" (obviously kids are allowed if you want them in there with you!) offers luxury sofa seating, wood burning stove, TV with English/French channels. Then, off the kitchen is the "Kid's Lounge" with comfortable sofa seating, large TV, X-Box with a few games. Board games available and of course there is fast full service Wi-Fi throughout the house (with office space and a printer).
Outside there is a football area with goal post; heated outdoor pool with decking, table tennis and bikes to use, garden games and high-end garden furniture (loungers, seating, umbrellas, pergola, dining table etc).
This is a great house for families sharing or a group of adults who want to have all the comforts, but in a country setting.
There is a local supermarket about 2 miles away. The famous Roche D'Oetre is also 2 miles away with the wonderful Cafe Callou next door offering easy good food, wines and beers and live music on Saturday evenings - all overlooking Le Roche D'Oetre with its amazing zipwire facility across the Rock.
Located in the Suisse Normande region, the house is a rural idyll with fabulous river walks from the house along The Orne River, everything else is within an easy 20 min drive (max).
Falaise, Flers and Conde sur Noireau with their weekly markets (great fish, oysters, cheeses, hams, artisan bread and farm veggies) and town shops/hypermarkets and restaurants nearby. Clecy is about 25 mins drive with its riverside restaurants, easy or challenging canoe trails; small motor river boats and rock climbing. At Rabodanges - about 10 mins from the house, there is the newly created "beach" at Rabodanges Le Lac. With restaurants and safe swimming it's a nice option to the poolside tranquility you can enjoy at the house. Bagnole d'el Orne is about 25 mins away with its picturesque lake and the famous all-day casino situated on the lake and gardens with restaurants and shops from an Art Deco era.
Number 4, Le Souquet is connected to our Gite property at Number 2, Le Souquet. So, for groups of over 12, you can book our Gite which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sleeping 4 with its own interlinked garden - so you can essentially have 16 people at number 2 and number 4 Le Souquet.
