The apartment is an ideal base to explore the delights of both Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, whilst being on the doorstep of Dylan Thomas’ hometown of Laugharne - this picture postcard town is not to be missed. The castle of Laugharne, known originally as the Castle of Abercorran, existed in Laugharne before the Norman Conquest and belonged to the princes of south Wales.
A little further along the coast you will uncover the harbour village of Saundersfoot, where you can enjoy early morning freshly brewed coffee, while admiring the view, here you will find a host of restaurants focusing on fresh line caught fish and local organic produce. If you want to enjoy the beach then the famous walled town of Tenby is a few minutes’ drive around the coast from Saundersfoot. South Beach in Tenby has been voted one of Europe’s top 10 beaches and is truly beautiful. If you are looking for a little more adventure, within a 30 minutes’ drive you have access to Wales largest theme park Oakwood, and next door the Blue Lagoon Water Park. For those rare rainy days or to get away from it all, you may prefer a relaxing walk through the renowned Colby Woodland Gardens in Amroth and discover the splendour of the secret Valley Gardens. You can enjoy woodland walks, the wild flower meadow, colourful walled gardens in summer, and the marvellous colours of acers, dogwoods and sweet-gum in autumn. Beach 500 yards.
